The TUWINDI Foundation, sponsored by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa OSIWA, hosted the Salam Hotel on 09 February 2017 to disseminate the results of the follow-up of the implementation of the Peace and Security Agreement The reconciliation in Mali of the 30% quota of women’s representation in positions of responsibility.
The main objective of this workshop was to:
Develop model forms of information collection for the monitoring barometers of the implementation of the peace agreement and gender equity,
Develop indicators for the barometer for monitoring women’s participation.
The workshop took the form of a working group and a plenary session. Thus the invited resource persons were divided among the following groups:
The peace agreement for reconciliation in Mali,
Representation of women in elective and nominative positions
The invited experts examined the documents of the General Policy Statement of the Government of Mali, the document of agreement for peace and reconciliation in Mali resulting from the Algiers process to extract key indicators that could be used for citizen control.
